Three nights on Miami Beach, five nights in your own villa on a private island in the Exumas, and a motorboat that is yours the whole time.

First three nights at the St. Regis Bal Harbour at the northern end of Miami Beach, then on by Makers Air in a Cessna 208 to Staniel Cay and across by boat to Fowl Cay, a private island in the Exumas. There one of the six villas is yours, all inclusive, along with your own motorboat and its fuel for the whole stay. You take it out yourself to the swimming pigs of Big Major Cay, to the Thunderball Grotto and over to Staniel Cay for lunch.

DAY 1

Arrival in Miami

Business class scheduled flight from Germany to Miami, a good ten hours. After landing, the transfer takes you to Bal Harbour and the St. Regis in around half an hour. The trip is booked in a Deluxe Ocean View room with a king-size bed at around 59 m²; suites are bookable on request. You spend the first evening on the beach or on your own terrace above the Atlantic.

DAY 2

Beach, pools and spa in Bal Harbour

Breakfast at the house, then the day belongs to the private beach and the pools. The Resort Pool among the palms is set up for families, the Tranquility Pool stays adults-only. On the sand stand the Oceanfront Day Villas, private cabanas with their own bathroom, shower, daybeds and butler service. If you would rather head for the spa, you will find around 1,300 m² with steam rooms, saunas and treatments, plus a fitness centre looking out to sea and a pilates studio of its own.

DAY 3

A day in Miami

After breakfast the Bal Harbour Beach Path starts at the door, a shaded route running for kilometres along the beach, good for a run, a walk or a ride on the hotel's complimentary bicycles. The concierge team arranges private boat trips and kayak or jet-ski outings at the nearby Haulover Sandbar. With the Unscripted Art Museum Access Card, hotel guests enter 17 of Miami's best museums free of charge. Or you simply stay by the pool.

DAY 4

On to Fowl Cay

Breakfast, check-out and around 35 minutes by car to Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport. From there Makers Air flies you to Staniel Cay in a Cessna 208 in about two hours. The transfer and boat crossing to the island take another half hour, and then you are standing in front of your villa. The stay is all inclusive, with the service of the house, a golf cart for getting around the island and your own motorboat for exploring the islands around you.

DAY 5

Your first day on the island

Breakfast and time to settle in on your private island. Kayaks and stand-up paddleboards lie ready on the beach at no charge, and there is a tennis court, the freshwater pool at the Hill House and quiet spots for snorkelling. If you would rather spend the day by the pool or in a hammock, you are missing nothing.

DAY 6

Big Major Cay and the Thunderball Grotto

After breakfast you take your motorboat across to the neighbouring island of Big Major Cay, known for its swimming pigs, which come out to meet you in the shallows. Carry on a little further and you reach the Thunderball Grotto, a cave made famous in 1965 by the James Bond film Thunderball and open to snorkelling when the sea is calm.

DAY 7

Starfish Beach and Staniel Cay

Breakfast, then out by boat to Starfish Beach, where starfish can be watched at close range. At midday a trip over to Staniel Cay makes sense, for lunch at the Staniel Cay Yacht Club, where the boats lie at the dock right below the veranda.

DAY 8

Another day on the water

At low tide, sandbanks emerge between the cays where you stand entirely on your own, and there are quiet spots for snorkelling over the reef. Professional fishing and water sports gear belongs to the villa. You spend the evening on your terrace or at the Hill House, the island’s restaurant.

DAY 9

Flight home

Breakfast, transfer to the Staniel Cay airstrip and the flight back to Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport. From there a transfer to Miami airport and a scheduled flight home to Germany in business or first class. You land the following morning.

Setting

The resort stands in Bal Harbour at the northern end of Miami Beach, right on its own white private beach. The Bal Harbour Beach Path starts at the door, a shaded route running for kilometres, good for a run, a walk or a ride on the hotel's complimentary bicycles. The Bal Harbour Shops are across the road, South Beach is around twenty minutes away and Miami International airport about thirty.

The house & its architecture

Three curved glass towers stand at an angle to the water, so that almost every room faces the Atlantic rather than the building next door. Inside, pale marble, sand tones and a great deal of daylight set the scene. The St. Regis inheritance includes butler service on every floor and the evening champagne sabrage.

Rooms & suites

This trip is booked in a Deluxe Ocean View room with a king-size bed at around 59 m². Every room has its own terrace facing the Atlantic, looking across the beach to the Miami Beach skyline. Above them come the suites with separate living rooms, up to the Ocean Palace Suite. Marble bathrooms with free-standing tubs and walk-in dressing rooms are standard, and suites are bookable on request.

Pools & beach

Two pools divide the guests: the Resort Pool among the palms is set up for families, the Tranquility Pool stays adults-only. On the sand stand the Oceanfront Day Villas, private cabanas with their own bathroom, shower, daybeds and butler service. Parasols, loungers and towel service at the water go without saying.

Spa & fitness

The Spa at St. Regis covers around 1,300 m² across two levels, with steam rooms, saunas, quiet areas and treatments up to a 24-carat gold facial. The fitness centre looks out to sea and holds a pilates studio of its own by the Feel Well Collective. Daily classes run from sunrise yoga through meditation to high-intensity training.

Dining & excursions

The house has several restaurants and bars, among them an address for Japanese cooking and a spot right by the pool. The concierge team arranges private boat trips and kayak or jet-ski outings at the nearby Haulover Sandbar. With the Unscripted Art Museum Access Card, hotel guests enter 17 of Miami's best museums free of charge.

Fowl Cay Private Island Resort

Setting

Fowl Cay lies in the Exumas, the island chain at the heart of the Bahamas, within sight of Staniel Cay and across from the beach of the swimming pigs. Its own beaches, docks and a small marina belong to the island. You fly into Staniel Cay, and from there it is around thirty minutes by transfer and boat.

The villas

Six villas are spread around the shore of the island, each on its own and each looking out over the water. Lindon has one bedroom for two guests; Birdcage, Starlight and Seabreeze have two each for up to four; Blue Moon and Sweetwater have three each for up to six. Seabreeze and Starlight are treehouse villas on the highest point of the island, three buildings joined by wooden decks. Birdcage has a freshwater pool of its own and a small dock at its beach. Every villa comes with a fully stocked kitchen, air conditioning, Wi-Fi and a golf cart. Which villa it is, is your choice.

Your motorboat

A motorboat belongs to every villa for the whole of your stay, with unlimited fuel. You set off whenever you like: to the sandbank, to Starfish Beach, over to Big Major Cay and its swimming pigs, or across for lunch at the Staniel Cay Yacht Club.

Around the island

Kayaks, stand-up paddleboards and professional fishing gear are part of it, as are a tennis court with racquets and quiet spots for snorkelling. The freshwater pool sits at the Hill House above the bay. Housekeeping comes daily.

All inclusive

Everything is included: the fully stocked kitchen in your villa and the Hill House, the island's restaurant and bar, where guests meet in the evening. Meals and drinks are unlimited, spirits included.

ENTRY & HEALTH REQUIREMENTS

As of: 18 September 2026 – USA: German citizens travel visa-free under the Visa Waiver Program for up to 90 days. You need a valid electronic passport and an ESTA authorisation, applied for online at least 72 hours before departure at a cost of 40 USD. A return or onward ticket is mandatory. ESTA is not available with a temporary passport, which requires a visa instead. Anyone who has been in Cuba on or after 12 January 2021 cannot use ESTA either and must apply for a visa at the US embassy. Fresh food and meat products may not be brought in, and alcohol and tobacco only in limited quantities and only from the age of 21. US border officers may inspect electronic devices without a warrant, and they also make the final decision on entry. Bahamas: no visa is required for tourist stays of up to 90 days for German, Austrian and Swiss citizens. The passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the planned end of the trip on entry; an identity card is not accepted. A return or onward ticket as proof of planned departure is also required, along with evidence of sufficient funds, for which around 200 USD per day is the guideline. A departure tax applies when leaving. Hurricane season runs from May to November.

How much is the deposit?

As a rule, the deposit is 20% of the trip price. For peak-season dates it may be higher; this will be stated in the respective offer. For non-refundable special-fare flight tickets, the deposit may also be higher, as the ticket must be paid in full immediately.

When is the balance due?

As a rule, 30 days before departure. We'll point out any deviations already at the time of booking.

How do I pay for my trip?

Is my trip protected by a tour operator insolvency insurance (ATOL licence)?

Yes. As a German tour operator we are legally obliged to protect your trip with a tour operator insolvency insurance (ATOL licence). Fly Unique has a contract with the R+V Versicherung. You will receive your insurance certificate automatically with your booking confirmation.

I'm pregnant. Can I still travel?

In principle, traveling is possible with an uncomplicated pregnancy up to week 34/35; the second trimester (weeks 14 to 28) is considered ideal. The exact rules vary by airline: many require a medical certificate of fitness to fly from week 28 onward, and most airlines decline to carry passengers from week 36 onward. Feel free to reach out. We'll check individually for your airline and route how your desired trip can be arranged.
