How do we book your flight?
How do we find the best flight at the best price?
By Lars Holling
The best flight is rarely the first one a search engine shows you. Here is which systems and which tricks we use to find it for you.
Flying has been with me all my life. Aircraft fascinated me as a little boy, and I was organising the family holidays early on. At Studiosus Reisen I then learned the travel business from the ground up. At Crossair and Swiss International Air Lines I saw what goes on behind the scenes of an airline. Finally, at AERTiCKET I worked in various departments, most recently as Managing Director of Flight Purchasing. There I negotiated with every major airline in the world.
So what makes the perfect flight, and how do you find it?
The right systems
The foundation is a combination of two systems. Amadeus is a GDS (Global Distribution System) and shows all airlines neutrally side by side. AERTiCKET's Cockpit system also has many direct NDC connections to the airlines.

NDC stands for New Distribution Capability. It is a new IATA standard through which airlines distribute their offers directly. It is not fully mature yet, but many airlines already use it, some more successfully than others.

The tricks you need to know
The systems are only the beginning. What also matters is experience with the airlines' fare world and its millions of fares: published fares, market fares, TO fares, corporate fares, consolidator net fares, student and seaman fares, dynamic pricing, continuous pricing and much more.
Then there are the upgrade options. A sector upgrade, meaning an upgrade on just one leg, is often considerably cheaper than a regular return flight in the higher class. Combinations pay off too, because not every route has a First Class.

An example: on the way out you fly in the new Lufthansa Allegris Business Class Suite, which already comes very close to a First Class seat (the surcharge for the suite is dynamic). On the way back you use a sector upgrade to First Class.

We find you the best product, the best price and, above all, the best seat.

Prefer to fly entirely private?
For short routes and small airfields, we also arrange smaller aircraft for you. That way you can fly from Schönhagen near Berlin to Sylt on any day you like, for example, even when there is no scheduled service.

Or perhaps you would like to fly from Berlin to Portorož on the Slovenian Adriatic, where there are no scheduled flights at all. Then we arrange a propeller aircraft or a small jet for you.

We are there for you on long-haul routes too. We also arrange your private jet to the Caribbean, for a holiday on Necker Island, for instance.

Your perfect flight starts with a conversation
Whether it is Business or First Class to New York, an upgrade to First Class or your entirely private flight to Sylt or St. Maarten: tell us where you would like to go. We find you the best product, the best price and the best seat.
